The DBA (Design Business Association) is getting ready to launch the only directory for design services in the UK. The directory will be the first of its kind and clients of design are getting excited by the prospect of being able to save large amounts of time and money in their procurement processes.
Both the Institute of Directors (45,000 Director level members) and the Marketing Society (2,500 senior marketer members) have agreed to endorse the DBA Directory and promote it to their members. The directory will be launched in November 2010.
Glow is a proud member of the DBA and joined over a year ago as part of a strategic move to enhance its knowledge through professional development and excellence in design. “The DBA offers Glow superior training and advice to build the performance of our agency. We have attended some brilliant courses and the DBA’s annual charge out report provides us invaluable information on rates and salaries to ensure we offer quality at the right price”. Commenting on the directory, Lisa Lavis MD of Glow said “I am really looking forward to the DBA directory as it will be packed with top level business information on agencies. As part of the process Glow submitted 12 key polices to demonstrate how we work – ranging from Code of Conduct, Dispute Resolution and Environmental. Coupled with detailed information about our accounts it will be an essential tool for suppliers to get a really good feel of a prospective agency. As the only member of the DBA in the Portsmouth area I am really optimistic about the potential benefits”.
